Apply early for Visitor Visas for Summer

The summer months are a busy time for Immigration New Zealand, with a surge in visa applications from people wanting to explore our country or spend Christmas with loved ones.

If you are applying for a visitor visa, we encourage you to submit applications early with all the required evidence, including:

• a photo that meets our requirements
• proof they have enough money while in New Zealand or have an acceptable sponsor  
• evidence that shows they genuinely intend to visit and go home afterwards    
• English translations of all documents not in English.

Complete applications mean we will decide your application sooner and your client will then have confidence to book flights, accommodation, and the rest of their trip.

Anyone wishing to travel to New Zealand to celebrate Christmas should apply for their visitor visa no later than 15 October 2024.
