Opportunity for an experienced electrical specialist

About this role:

This organisation is looking for a Protection Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing testing and commissioning of substation assets with a strong focus around OH&S. You will have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic and desire to work collectively as a team to complete work efficiently.

Requirements:
• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical certificate or licence
• Minimum 5+ years industry experience in power assets
• Hold registration (full, provisional, or limited) from the Electrical Workers Registration Board’ (EWRB) as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer
• Practical industry-related experience is essential
• Experience with HV, substation, or power transmission is desirable
• Experience working on an electrical distribution network is highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in underground cable testing
• Strong communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge or industry standards and codes
