About this role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join a highly collaborative and supportive team of go-getters. As the Electrician or Electrical Fitter, you will undertake tasks associated with electrical substation construction and maintenance. You will provide safe, reliable and cost-effective construction, erection, installation, repair, assembly, maintenance and modification of all types of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical apparatus.
On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include ( but not limited to):
- Installing HV and or LV substation equipment
- Plant repair and maintenance
- Primary plant testing
- Authority to work on equipment
- Work Site management and participation
- Equipment control and maintenance
Key Experiences & Skills
- EWRB fully registered electrician
- Experience in the High Voltage Electrical industry would be an advantage, but not a prerequisite
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
- Physically fit
- Full driver’s license and experience driving appropriate vehicles in all road, terrain and weather conditions
